Akshay’s ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ to spread social message

Akshay Kumar, the most enthusiastic actor of bollywood is back with another realistic film “Toilet: Ek Prem Katha”. It is inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, which was a government campaign to improve sanitation conditions of India.

It is directed by Shree Narayan Singh and produced by Aruna Bhatia, Shital Bhatia, Abundantia, Viacom Motion Pictures, Arjun N. Kapoor and Hitesh Thakkar. Other than Akshay, its star cast includes Bhumi Pedenkar, Anupam Kher and Sana Khan. This film is being written by Siddharth and Garima, the writers of ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram Leela’.

The film is a sarcastic comedy film, which depicts the false believes that village residents have regarding having a toilet in their houses. In the film, Bhumi Pedenkar who is playing the role of Akshay Kumar’s wife urges for the construction of a toilet.

From the continuous post of Akshay Kumar on his twitter account, seems that he is very much dedicated and giving his full efforts for the promotion of the film. Initially, he posted two posters of the film, one of which was in which he was holding a lamp in one hand while a pot in another one. On the contrary, another poster showed some women in group are moving with a pot in their hands. Besides that he regularly posts about the related topics so that public gets aware regarding the issue of the sanitaion.

Pahlaj Nihalani, the chairman of Central Board of Film Certification has praised Akshay Kumar for the film and also added that his selection of films is remarkable. This film seems to be a National Award winning film, added Pahlaj Nihalani.
