Contractual doctors is the latest attempt from Yogi government

The Yogi Adityanath government has given a green signal to recruit one thousand contractual doctors.

In addition, government has also finalised the transfer policy for doctors that are already working in state hospitals.

Initial signs are that the time frame of the contract may be increased for two more years if the performance is found to be satisfactory.

Meanwhile, the transfer policy for doctors will be implemented on the basis of A, B, C and D categories.

While the A category includes Lucknow, Allahabad and Varanasi, the remaining categories cover the smaller cities.
