Modi wishes people on Good Friday

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today gave his greetings to the people of India on the occasion of Good Friday. He also remembered the service and sacrifice of Jesus Christ.

“Today, on Good Friday, we remember the service and sacrifice of Jesus Christ,” the Prime Minister tweeted.

“His was a life devoted to mitigating human suffering,” he said.

Good Friday is a Christian holiday commemorating the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and his death at Calvary. For Christians, it is the most sorrowful, sombre and sacred day of the year. It is also referred as Holy Friday, Great Friday, Black Friday, or Easter Friday.
