Administrative Officers are openly asking bribe under Akhilesh ministry | Watch video

Lucknow: During Mayawati regime, corruption was marketed by hierarchy and the center of dealing was fixed as state's capital Lucknow but in the present Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav's tenure, the roots of corruption has come down to the level of district headquarters and to its adjoining Tehsils. Authorities and officials have been bolstered up to such an extent that they now don't even afraid of guzzling funds from the tax paid to government.

In Ambedkar Nagar, a pre-permitted entertainment programme was cancelled by few tainted local officials at the 11th hour causing losses of worth Rs lakhs to the organizers. Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of Ambedkar Nagar's Tanda Tehsil initially gave necessary permissions to organize a programme but later cancelled it as his account was not piled up with asked bribe amount. The concern official, instead of asking the entertainment tax from organizers, demanded a sum of 25,000 as bribe. He also warned that if they did not provide him the asked sum, he will cancel the programme which he eventually did.

It was a Bollywood dance party that was to be held at Tanda's Raja Park on July 14th for which organizers have already spent lakhs. The group that came from Mumbai was unknown to the fact that they will have to pay enough for their programme. They never knew that they would be asked a heavy bribe for their show. The sweetener they were asked was Rs 1 lakh for SDM and Rs 25,000 for entertainment tax officer. When they denied paying any bribe, SDM Manoj Kumar Rai cancelled their programme on July 12 at around 8 in evening. Maintaining 'Law and Order' was the reason given by him for cancelling the show.

The limits of corruption was not constraint to this as to pile up their pockets from this show, the concern authorities have also indulged the Tanda police station in-charge with them. When victim thought of narrating the complete picture to police in-charge, he came to know that he too was accompanied with those corrupts. The major part in the cancellation of programme was played by Entertainment Tax Officer Shashemani Yadav, who used his post and power to embezzle the sum which was to be paid as entertainment tax to the government.

The chief of the dance party Baljeet Singh said, "The two officers asked huge sum as a bribe which for them was too much to pay. We were ready to pay the entertainment tax set by the government."

When team Pardaphash initiated its probe and called Tanda's SDM and entertainment tax officer to know the truth, SDM Manoj said, "Law and order was disrupted since 28 last month and hence the show was cancelled."

Meanwhile entertainment tax officer said that he was not at all involved in the bribe case. Instead he blamed SDM for the complete happening. But victim organizer clearly mentioned that all the dealings were done by entertainment tax officer and even the bribe amount was asked by him.

We are attaching the complete video which describes the corrupt story of government employees and also defines the poor functioning og government authorities who are losing control over their appointed officials.

This is not the only case as SDM Nandlal Singh from Tehsil Mohanlal Ganj, Lucknow runs a illegal Gutka factory under government's nose. Singh calls himself a close associate of chief minister Akhilesh Yadav. Singh is running two factories named as "Dabang" and "Sanchar" for which he does not have a valid license. Our sources say that a MLA from the ruling Samajwadi Party have complained against Singh to Party's top ministers. In his complaint he charged Singh of asking bribe but there is no one in the party to take stringent action against the close aide of Akhilesh Yadav.
