The music composer, Pritam gained attention of an Iranian band Barobax Corp who filed a legal notice against him for illegal copying their song ‘Soosan Khanoom’. The case was registered under Copyright Act in Canada in 2010. They approached the Bombay High Court as well but there case was dismissed somehow. Co-producer Dinesh Vijan in his statement said, “They were talking about copyright violation, but their own papers were not in order. And there was little similarity between the tracks as alleged.”
They also said that the song was quite a buzz since its release and that if anyone had any issues with it, then why they took so long to come up with the case, that too just a week before release. Since it is out of every mesh, Saif Ali Khan and other filmmakers now have their minds focused to other things. Soon the box office weekend collection will be revealed, watch this space for more updates.
