Student Of The Year: Alia Bhatt didn't like Varun on sets

Mumbai: The on screen chemistry between Alia Bhatt and Student Of The Year co-star Varun Dhawan did not come easy. The youngsters were not really fond of each other initially but later worked things out. Ask them of their bonding on sets and Varun said, "Alia never liked me earlier because I didn't say, 'Hi' to her on the first day. But that is because I was giving my look test and didn't see her. She was angry with me in the first week, but then it got okay."
Alia is filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt and actress Soni Razdan's daughter.
"I did not give her any attitude because we had to work together. She feels we are very good friends, but I feel that we are okay friends. We bonded on that fact that we were young on the set and didn't understand much," said the youngster.
But Varun hit it off well with Siddharth Malhotra, who is also playing a lead role in the film. The two have known each other as they worked as assistant directors on My Name is Khan.
Directed by Karan Johar, Student Of The Year is a romantic comedy film releasing on October 19.
