The subscribers will need to type in HELP and will need to send it to 55100, the registered numbers will receive the same, updated with the location details. They can also make a direct call to 55100 and the numbers registered will receive voice, along with the sms rendering location details.
Company, in its statement informs, "During an emergency, Airtel mobile customers can now send an alert with their geographic location to their closest 10 loved ones simultaneously, with just a call - facilitating an access to easy and quick help."
Subscribers can also inform of their well-being by typing in SAFE in new text and sending it again at 55100 to inform the registered numbers that they are safe and sound.
Charges of 'Emergency Alert Service'
Rs 30 for 30 days (Subscribers can even send this alert even if they don't have the minimum balance in their account)
