SC rejects CBI plea seeking dismissal of Yeddyurappa's bail

New Delhi: Giving relief to BS Yeddyurappa, the Supreme Court on Monday rejected the Central Bureau of Investigation's (CBI) petition, seeking dismissal of the anticipatory bail granted to the former chief minister.

According to the reports, the apex court said that the sale and donation of the land is not a crime. The probe agency has told the Supreme Court that Yeddyurappa was not co-operating in the investigation process, to which the apex court asked them to approach the High Court.

On July 26, Yeddyurappa was granted anticipatory bail by the High Court. Previously the CBI had filed statement of objections against the anticipatory bail application by the ex-chief minister and his kin.
