Lucknow: Fingers have always been raised over the working of former Uttar Pradesh government BSP but the way scams and ill-doings are coming in sight, discloses the heights of corruption. An instance is the suspension of 25 officials on charges of corruption and dereliction of duty by the Urban Development Minister and Chairman of UP Jal Nigam, Azam Khan.

Pardaphash, months before, has published reports that described the poor working standards of construction and design services (C&DS) wing of Jal Nigam. Reliability of reports can be measured as the corporation, on Monday, has lodged FIRs against four engineers of C&DS posted in Allahabad for comprising the quality of construction of a girls' school in Sirsa tehsil of the district.

Officials who became Khan's target include:
Chief General Manager of C&DS, RP Jatav (Charged of not supervising the works done by his subordinates)

General Manager (C&DS) VP Singh (Charged for not reporting on duty since May 25)

Engineers who are suspended include:

DK Gupta, Executive Engineer of the Gomti pollution section of UPJN: He has been alleged of getting sewer lines constructed outside the municipal area of Lucknow without getting necessary permissions.

Executive Engineer Ram Bachan of same wing and Junior Engineer RK Singh (suspended for installing hand pumps outside the municipal limits of Lucknow)

Senior Accountant Ashok Kumar Soni (suspended for not following the guidelines while endorsing the payment made for various projects)

Executive Engineer, construction wing of UPJN in Sitapur, Amar Singh Katiyar (Charged of not listening to the directions of district magistrate (dm) and going ahead with the works)

Executive Engineer, Satya Prakash Sharma, posted in Firozabad (suspended for causing revenue loss to the department by taking contracts and compromising the quality of works in the division)

There are also many assistant engineers and junior engineers who are suspended by Azam Kahn. These include:

Assistant Engineer GS Gill and Junior Engineer SK Zaidi: (Suspended for not getting the road reconstructed after they were dug up to lay sewer lines in the district)

Assitant Engineers in Gonda, Khursheed Ahmad and AE in Faizabad, Bhimraj: (Suspended on charges of comprising with the construction material and getting payments made through fake cheques)

Chief Clerk in Faizabad division, Nasir Ali: (Suspended along with Bhimraj)

Assistant Engineer in Aligarh, Munish Chandra Gupta: (Suspended on charges of travelling abroad without getting necessary permission and owning properties more than his known sources of income)

Four officials against whom FIRs have been lodged are:
UPJN Project Managers RK Bansal and RB Chanchal
Junior Engineers Shameem Ahmad and AK Chandravanshi.
