Bangladesh: Lightning strikes 8 dead, 15 injured
Dhaka: On Saturday, eight people were killed and 15 others were severely injured after being hit by lightning in different districts of Bangladesh, official authorities said.

These districts were hit by storm when the lightning struck at different places leaving many people injured.

According to source, "Most of the killed and wounded were farmers who were working in their fields. One student was killed and five others were wounded while they were playing football in Tamgail, about 100 km north of Bangladesh's capital."

"The wounded students received medical treatment at a hospital in Tangail," they said.

The other deceased and wounded people were in western Meherpur, northeastern Kishoreganj, southeastern Noakhali and northwestern Dinajpur districts.
