Mumbai: India's two iconic celebrities, the boxing woman MC Mary Kom and sexy Priyanka Chopra, who have been associated with each other in the recent past are yet again topping the headlines for their affectionate exchanges.

Fabled Indian director Sanjay Leela Bhansali has made up his mind to rope in Priyanka Chopra to portray MC Mary Kom and her heroics on the big screen. To this, Mary Kom is glad enough that she feels herself on cloud nine that Chopra is going to play her on the screen.

The Olympic bronze medalist boxer is pretty glad that Bhansali has chosen Priyanka Chopra to express her motivational life on screen in his forthcoming project.

MC Mary Kom

Mangte Chungneijang Mary Kom was born on March 1, 1983. She is also known as MC Mary Kom, Magnificent Mary or simply Mary Kom.

She is an Indian boxer belonging to Kom tribal community of the north-eastern state of Manipur. She is a five-time World Boxing champion, and the only woman boxer to have won a medal in each one of the six world championships.

She is the only Indian woman boxer to have qualified for the 2012 Summer Olympics, competing in the flyweight (51kg) category and winning the bronze medal. She has also been ranked as No. 4 AIBA World Women's Ranking Flyweight category.
