Kentucky: American automobile major, Chevrolet uploaded a video to mark the 60th anniversary of their iconic car model - Corvette. It is considered one of the most desired American muscle car of all time.

The Chevrolet division under the General Motors or GM built this car as a concept and was put into production as a convertible in 1953. The design and mechanics of this car, has till now seen six generations. This car became a brand in itself after a whole lot of buyers became a Corvette enthusiast. First generation was called the ‘Sting Ray’ or C1 and the recent C6 is their (Chevrolet’s) best attempt so far.

Chevrolet uploaded a video to celebrate the moments with a calling, “In celebration of Corvette's 59th birthday, we look forward to the 60th anniversary of the Corvette by looking back through 60 years of America's favorite sports car.”

Known for its out of the world screeching noise, the car is quite a favorite among the American buyers as it goes easy on pockets too, seeing the type of power it has when compared to the similar powered cars of other known companies that have made it big in sports car segment.

This particular car from the Chevrolet stable has received numerous awards and titles over the years. It has been ranked among the coolest cars that the motoring world has ever seen.

Corvette concept cars too have inspired the designs of several generations of Corvettes. The company designers have been carving out the design concepts over the years which give an impression how future models of the car would look like. The company has been able to produce over 1.3 million units of Corvette, which is a lot for that kind of a car.
