China: 16 miners trapped in flooded coal mine

Beijing: On Thursday night, sixteen of the miners in China were trapped in a flooded coal mine.

According to the report, the accident took place at 6 pm on Wednesday when they were working underground in Qielichong coal mine in Hunan province. Twenty-four others managed to escape unhurt from the scenario.

The coal mine management reported the accident to the local government on Thursday. Rescue efforts were continuing at 10:30 pm.
