China: Women stripped, molested during water festival

Beijing: In a very shameful incident, several women were stripped and physically assaulted during festivities in China's island province of Hainan. 
According to reports, the festival that took place on Thursday at the Qixian Square, Baoting Li and Miao autonomous county to mark a local water festival, coinciding with the Chinese Valentine Day. During the celebration men tore down clothes of the ladies molested them.
As per reports, the attackers were arrested by police. Li Min, a tourist from Wanning in Hainan who has participated in the festival for the past five years revealed that four or five women were assaulted after an opening ceremony.
He also said that over 1,000 young people were on the square playing with water at that time. He saw a man taking off a girl's clothes, with similar attempts were made on four or five other ladies.
