Bangalore: The Jamaican maverick and Royal Challengers Bangalore batsman Chris Gayle put up a blitzkrieg not only for the amusement of the spectators but all and sundry. As soon as the hammering of Gayle spread like a wild fire, people who were not watching the match rushed and glued to the TV screens and some chose to watch live streaming on internet which witnessed the swashbuckling player hitting a ton on just 30 deliveries.
Gayle reached the three-figure mark and remained unbeaten on 175 against Pune. But it was not only the batting front. He then returned to claim two wickets and secured a 130-run win in the match played at Bangalore.
A day after the sixth edition of the Indian Premier League saw its first century, Bangalore's Chris Gayle slammed the fastest ton ever seen in the tournament and left Pune Warriors in absolute shambles. 17 sixes were part of the storm as Gayle fireworks dazzled.
The performance forced the Twitteratis to the likes of captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni to sprint king Usain Bolt, after Chris Gayle's made the show.
"Life is all about taking the right decision, seeing Gayle bat today I think I took the right decision of being a wicket keeper," Dhoni tweeted.
If that was not enough, he again showed his witty side after the 'Sir Jadeja series'.
"HAL suspends all test flts of TEJAS Light combat aircraft wenever RCB plays in banglore, no wonder its behind schedule.thanks to Gayle," said his another tweet.
