In reference to this CIC has rejected all the queries raised by UPSC and said, “would help candidates make an honest assessment of their performance so that they can prepare better for the next prelims,” as per the reports.
Satyanand Mishra (Chief Information Commissioner) said, “If the marks are not disclosed immediately after the preliminary exams is over and the candidates are made to wait for nearly one year before accessing these marks, they would lose a whole year in the process and would not know why they performed the way they did.”
Earlier, Delhi High Court and Supreme Court made such directions but UPSC didn’t disclose the Prelims marks and this time keeping the decision made by the courts CIC stated that prelims marks should be disclosed.
