He raised voice against the Prime Minister and also called him corrupt in his face. He also took off his shirt and said that the common man has been ripped just that way.
As far as facial gestures of the Indian Prime Minister is concerned, it clearly reflected that Singh was a amused from the unusual act in the high security zone. He looked a bit anger-filled as well.
The man (Santosh Kumar Sivan), however, is said to have been from Lalu Prasad Yadav led Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD).
The incident took place just as the prime minister made his way to the dais and was about to address an international academic conference on the subject of economic growth and changes of corporate environment in Asia.
Just before the prime minister rose to deliver his initial address in-front of hundreds of people the main hall of the Vigyan Bhavan, the man, wearing an off-white shirt, started shouting slogans to seek the declination of the hike in Diesel price that took early this month.
However, it took some time for the security men to take him off the table and palm his mouth to take him off the hall.
However irritated, the Prime Minister continued to address the hall. He made a pitch for inclusive, faster and sustainable development, promising to overhaul the existing corporate commercial laws to facilitate the growth of the private sector.
He said that soon the government would bring a new 'Companies Bill' before parliament to address the present day needs of the corporate world.
Lalu Yadav
After coming to know that Santosh was a party member, RJD chief Lalu Yadav condemned the incident. He said that he strongly condemned it.
"Suman was made a member of the party by the Delhi state unit without verifying his credentials. He was made the in-charge of the legal cell 1.5 years back," a disgusted Lalu said.
"I have also disbanded the whole Delhi unit of the Rashtriya Janata Dal over the act," he ended saying.
