Daal Mein Kuch Kaala Hai is utter nonsense

Rating:

Written by: Aanand Balraj
Produced by: Urvashi Bali, Deepak Bali
Cast: Jackie Shroff, Vijay Raaz, Veena Malik, Shakti Kapoor, Bobby Darling, Aman Verma, Raja chaudhary, Sudesh Berry.

The lead character Mr Dabu, is played by the veteran yesteryear villain Anand Balraj. This film portrays him as a middle age man who becomes rich overnight. He falls madly in love with a new upcoming actress, played by Veena Malik and wants to start a film starring her as the main lead.

Veena on the other hand is more interested in his money rather in doing his flick and plans to con him with her boyfriend.

To get hands on Mr Dabu’s wealth, Veena plans to take a trip to an unknown island where she and her boyfriend are suppose to rob him, in what circumstances, is hard to tell. Then comes the real turn out in the story. People around get the hint to the cash and start to follow them. When the actors are on their way to the island, they suddenly get engulfed in a storm and are forced to spend a night in a nearby palace.

Creating more confusion, this palace is haunted where another character, also played by Veena Malik surfaces. Rests of the people are seen to follow them and try their best to get their hands on money as well on the girl. (The real one or the ghost, who knows?)

After the pandemonium created by the director, the whole film seems to be based on the competition of struggling for both the girl and money! As the story unfolds, it gets more and more boring by the second half. Director has tried to create humor which goes above the head and leaves the audience sick and bored to the heart!

Even then, if you are interested to know the end, meaning who gets the cash? And who gets the girl? Or what happens to the haunting soul? Feel free to book a ticket and go to the nearest theater to view the utter confusion.
