FIR lodged against Nirmal Baba | Could face 7 years of jail-term

Lucknow: Post the application of the two children of IPS Amitabh Thakur – Tanya and Aditya was accepted by Chief Judicial Magistrate Rajesh Upadhyaya, police has lodged an FIR against Nirmaljit Singh Narula aka Nirmal Baba with a fraudulent case, who on the contrary, claims to be bestowed by God himself and has “miraculous” solutions to every problem. Nirmal Baba, if found guilty, could be sentenced to seven years of jail.

The court came to a conclusion to allow the acceptance of the children’s application that people who take entry fee to appear in gathering (in case of Nirmal Baba – Samagams) and render baseless, clueless and irrational solutions are not only cheating any individual but also duping whole society and that, such pi must be probed.

The FIR has been lodged in the Gomti Nagar police station under section 417, 419, 420, 508 of IPC which is clearly the case of cheat and fraud (in the name of religion). The children accused Nirmal Baba of cheating illiterate and poor people, who approached him for their problem’s way out.

The court in its order said that the submission made by the applicants regarding Nirmal Baba was surely against the scientific and logical thinking of humans and falls in the category of misleading the society, superstition and cheating.

Nirmal Baba allowed only those to appear in his darbaars, who paid Rs 2000 as the entry fee. And also told his followers to keep sending dasavand (offerings) to maintain the kripa (blessings). Prospect of his gatherings is far larger than it may appear as he airs his gathering as an advertisement through various channels and projects his “so called” magical powers with a panoramic view.

Earlier, when Pardaphash asked him about his income and about the money-flow, he handed over a legal notice of defamation. This only leads to a fact that only a conscious society can help suppress and end corruption and corrupt people.
