Fire erupts in Home Ministry building | Situation under control

New Delhi: After Mantralaya, fire broke out in the home ministry’s office at North Block on Sunday but was soon brought under control.

As per the reports, fire erupted at 2.20 pm in Room no.102, which is next to Home Minister P Chidambaram’s office.

According to the reports, seven fire engines were rushed to the spot soon after the incident. The extent of the damage caused by the fire is not known yet.

Sources say that fire erupted due to short circuit.

On Thursday, five people were dead as a major fire broke out in Maharashtra's state secretariat Mantralaya here.
