Rio de Janeiro: Felipe Massa, the Brazilian driver from Ferrari, has insisted that his uncertainty about his Formula One future is not affecting his performances. On Tuesday, the 31-year-old said that he was still waiting to hear from Ferrari if he would remain with the team next year.
"I have to keep working as hard as I can in the hope of receiving good news soon," Massa told. "It's always good to know your situation and of course I would like to know where I am going to be next year. But I can guarantee that when I'm racing I don't think about that."
Massa is currently 10th in the driver standings with 47 points, 132 behind Ferrari teammate and championship leader Fernando Alonso. He admitted he was out of the title reckoning and revealed he would take a conservative approach for the rest of the season.
"If I get to a point in a race where I have to take a risk I will think twice about it because my priority is to finish," he said.
