New Delhi: Gopal Goyal Kanda, absconding Haryana minister's manager Aruna Chadha, in her statement to Delhi police, revealed that former air hostess Geetika Sharma was taken for an abortion.

Her striking revelation to police has added a twist in Sharma's suicide case, consequently Aruna's custody has been extended for a day.

Geetika worked for Gopal Goyal's, now closed MDLR airlines. He was slapped with charges of criminal intimidation on Tuesday and was also summoned for interrogation.

Police said that in order to trace the minister's whereabouts, Chaddha needs to be interrogated further. Kanda has been out of reach for seven days now, after Geetika was found dead in her residence in New Delhi on August 5.

Geetika's suicide note claimed that Chaddha and Kanda are responsible for the terrible step she was about to take. Reportedly, Delhi police has looked out for all possible hideouts for Kanda including Goa. His residence at Sirsa was raided last night, and relatives were interrogated but police could not trace him.

Kanda's anticipatory bail plea was dismissed by session court on Thursday and a look out notice was also issued against him. An official said that all the airports have been alerted so that the minister does not fly out of the country.
