Geetika Sharma's mother commits suicide

New Delhi: In a latest report, the former air hostess Geetika Sharma's mother Anuradha Sharma committed suicide by hanging herself at her home in Ashok Vihar locality on Friday. According to the brother of Geetika, she was under tremendous shock after the incident. Geetika’s mother was living with her son and husband. According to police sources, a suicide note has been found which mentions two names for taking the extreme step.
"Anuradha Sharma, in her 50s, was found hanging in her bedroom here at her Ashok Vihar residence around 5.50 p.m," Deputy Commissioner of Police P. Karunakaran told reporters.
Geetika, 23, a former air hostess in the defunct MDLR airlines belonging to former Haryana minister Gopal Goyal Kanda, had committed suicide on the intervening night of Aug 4-5, 2012 by hanging herself from a ceiling fan. She left a suicide note naming Kanda and an MDLR employee Aruna Chaddha for harassing her and driving her to suicide.
It is worth mention here that Geetika Sharma committed suicide in August in her Ashok Vihar residence here alleging harassment by former Haryana minister Gopal Kanda.
The sitting Haryana MLA was arrested on August 18 after he had surrendered before the police, 13 days after Geetika was found dead.
In her suicide note, 23-year-old Geetika said she was ending her life due to "harassment" by Kanda and Chaddha.
