Guwahati Inspires Meerut For Girl's Molestation Now

Meerut: India hadn't come-over the Guwahati shocker, and another one was lined in. This time in Uttar Pradesh's Meerut district. Not far from nation’s capital, inside a bus depot, in full public view, a girl was being pulled and pushed by a number of drunken men but none from public dared to help the poor.

Even her helpless screams in which, she kept on moaning and begged for help, did not move the hearts of the cowards standing and enjoying the feeble condition of the girl.

The incident took place on July 23 when a girl, who is said be a Delhi resident, was waiting for the bus at the Bhainsali Bus Depot in the night. Finding her standing alone, a few miscreants, who were deeply drunk, came near her and skirted around her. One of them is said to be the home-guard, the people at the Bus Depot informed.

One of the daredevil caught hold of the girl and others joined him in the act. They tried to push the girl inside a dark room situated at the Depot premises. She was still yelling and shouting for help. But, apart from being in body, no man was present with his soul there. They did not step ahead for help.

Crossing the boundaries and probably inspired by the Guwahati molestation video, the men pulled the girl’s clothes and tethered them. Even to this extent, humanity did not arise.

As per the locals, Phantom Police, Homeguards, and a large number of dwellers rushed in to see and the evil deed was still on. Even the Phantom police and the home guards also did not try to ring 100 for saving the girl. Rather, the locals have said that they were also enjoying the heinous act being played openly.

Finally to lift the curtain from the so-called climax, a few press people came rushing in after they got the news. Seeing the cameras flashing and their involvement for help, the molesters lost the grip. Finding herself lucky, the girl escaped and so did the molesters.

With media's intervention in the episode, the phantom police and the home guards also escalated from the spot. When media enquired about the incident to the locals, they narrated the incident and when they were kept in focus and asked why they (the locals) did not come up for help, none had the answers and their heads were down in shame.

Meanwhile, when contacted with Station Officer (SO), Sadar Bazar, he was blank. He didn't even know that such an incident had taken place. But he assured that strict action would be taken against the molesters and the police personnel who were at the spot.

The cop said, "Incident is not to my knowledge, as I was busy in a meeting. But cases would be filed against those
who are culprit." "We would investigate," he added.

Meanwhile, the girl who was targeted hasn't been found as of yet. The cops, who came after the information, didn't also searched the embattled girl.

This clearly shows that humanity has lost its way somewhat otherwise just a few people can't dare to portray such a heinous crime amongst large crowds.

Strict probe and action are needed from the state government in the case.
