Panaji: Goa Congress leader Vijay Sardesai, who is desperately eyeing to witness the assembly polls as he is a strong aspirant of the party from Fatorda constituency, complaint about the hacking of his email ID unidentified persons.
The politician leant about this incident through his own search and lodged the complaint on February 3.
Police said that the influential but controversial politician had stated that the IP address from which the email account vijaysardesai4fatorda@gmail.com was hacked originated in Honduras and Thailand.
"The hacking occurred between January 28 and 30. And the hackers sent across a lot of email saying untoward things from the email address," a police official said.
As per the reports, the cyber cell of Goa police has started the investigation and has assigned the duties of the their competent officers to look into the matter.
