New Delhi: IIT-Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) 2013 has been announced on Tuesday at around 2 pm. Conducted by the Secondary Board of Education, the written exam was held on April 7 while the online exam took place on April 9, 22, 23 and 25.
Candidates can access their results on www. jeemain.nic.in. The result was earlier supposed to announce at 4 pm but it was declared before time.
Around 10.5 lakh student appeared for JEE (Main) out of which 9 lakh students opted written exam and 1.5 lakh took the online test.
JEE (Main) 2013 scores will determine admission to the National Institutes of Technology (NIT) and the Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIIT) and some deemed universities.
Class 12 board marks will carry 40 percent weightage and JEE scores will carry 60 percent weightage for admissions. The JEE (Main) scores are also an eligibility test for the JEE (Advanced), which a candidate has to take if he/she is aspiring for admission to the undergraduate programmes offered by the 13 Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and Indian School of Mines Dhanbad.
