IPL 6 & Bollywood: Who will be the winner?
Mumbai: In a cricket frenzy nation, IPL 6 is a carnival which has generated great buzz and a lot of things are on stake other than the fate of the warring teams. IPL has hot connection with Bollywood with King Khan Shahrukh, Preity Zinta among the owners of the teams and movies as well.

This mega event has given goose bumps to filmmakers other than cricket fans. Last year some movies released during the IPL 2011 bombed down with creating any flutter. This time also the producers are wary about the fate of the movie.

However, there are different opinions on the business of movies affected by IPL. Three big releases during IPL 2011 starring Abhishek Bachchan-starrer Game, Anees Bazmee’s Thank You and Rohan Sippy’s Dum Maaro Dum failed to put up good show.

But in 2012, movies like Sajid Khan’s Housefull 2, Ishaqzaade and Ayushmann Khurrana-starrer Vicky Donor were declared hits.

This year Shootout At Wadala, Bombay Talkies, the Zanjeer remake, Go Goa Gone, Chashme Baddoor, Nautanki Saala, Ek Thi Daayan, I Love NY, Gippi and Aurangzeb are scheduled to be released this time and it would be only time that would decide the fate of these movies.

Shahrukh, Katrina and Deepika Padukone don’t have any releases this time and they are expected to be seen pumping more energy for their favourite teams.
