Chennai: After achieving a superb victory in a heart throbbing encounter against Royal Challenger Bangalore (RCB) on Saturday, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) is all set to hit the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai with new energy for their upcoming match with Pune Warriors India (PWI) today. Both the teams will be seen locking their horns in the 19th Indian Premier League Season 6 match from 8:00 pm.
CSK's last victory was well originated by emerging Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, who played a brilliant knock against RCB and kept his nerve till the end of the match. Besides this magical player, CSK also has many brilliant players such as Michel Hussey, skipper MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina and Dwayne Bravo. These players keep the ability to accelerate the run-rate at any stage of the match. With two amazing all-rounders like Jadeja and Bravo, CSK also owns a tough bowling attack. Dirk Nannes leads the pace attack, while Ravichandran Ashwin is their key spin bowler.
On the other hand, despite having a superb team, PWI are consistently failing to perform in the matches. They have been beaten in three of the four matches they have played. The batting lineup consists the players like Robin Uthappa, Ross Taylor, Yuvraj Singh, skipper Angelo Mathews and Abhishek Nayar. But none of them have been consistent with the bat. They also hold a strong bowling lineup headed by Ashok Dinda and Bhuvneshwar Kumar. While Rahul Sharma and Yuvraj Singh have been holding the key of spin bowling.
CSK will also have the benefit of home ground and crowd, but they will face a tough competition by PWI, if their team manages to perform good enough as a team.
Here are the two squads:
Chennai Super Kings:
Mike Hussey, Murli Vijay, Suresh Raina, Subramaniam Badrinath, MS Dhoni (Captain, Wicket-Keeper), Ravindra Jadeja, Dwayne Bravo, Chris Morris, R Ashwin, Dirk Nannes, Mohit Sharma.
