Mumbai: You ask any kid, living next door that who is your favourite heroine
from Bollywood, pat comes the reply – Katrina Kaif, and why not; she has emerged as the star because of the blood and sweat that she has put behind the films in her career span that stretches to one year short of a decade now. Now, she pushes her professional boundaries by learning new techniques which could be fighting skills, parkour skills or any dance form for the film she is hired for.
For her role in Dhoom 3, the prettiness is learning acro-dancing, which is considered to be a difficult-to-learn dance form. It requires a dedication that one would require if he/she learns B-boy, another extreme dance form. For this, Katrina will remain focussed towards the training sessions jotted out for her to emphasize her role in the sequel movie of the Dhoom
franchise from the Yash Raj banner.
Previously, she had been learning the parkour, often called as ‘free-running’ to get into the skin of her character in the movie. She was seen carrying out her action scenes by herself as she denied using a stunt double. This not only proved that she is bold enough to sketch the character rightly but also places her high on standards, over other beauties in the industry who often cry out for a stunt double.
Acro experts will be training Katrina in Mumbai. Although, she would not be the only one doing Acro stuff in Dhoom 3
but Mr Perfectionist, Aamir Khan will too be learning the same in Chicago. The dance form is a combination of classic moves grafted together with gymnastic-moves. A choreographer, who once was guiding an actress, who also happens to be fabulous dancer, says that they had to give up the dance form as it turned out to be a difficult set of events for the actress, even when she tried practising it for two weeks.
