Jaganmohan Reddy's bail plea rejected by SC

New Delhi: The bail plea of the YSR Congress chief, Jaganmohan Reddy has been rejected by the apex court on Friday. The court reasons it as an important stage where it can’t grant bail to Jagan Reddy.

The Central Bureau of Investigation has the judicial custody of the minister in Hyderabad’s Chenchalguda Central Prison. He is under scanner for the corruption, essayed out in his father, YSR Reddy’s reign, who was the then chief minister of Andhra Pradesh.

Jagan Reddy and his close aides are being questioned for the properties disproportionate to their income. They have been issued attachment orders on Thursday, by the ED (Enforcement Directorate) on the properties worth Rs 51 crore.

CBI inquired that the land which is more than 13 acres of land of Ms Janani Infrastructure Private Limited and fixed deposits worth Rs 14.50 crore of Ms Jagati Publication Limited as "kickbacks allegedly received in lieu of granting favours" are his private entities as Jagan is the owner of these companies.
