Jaipur: None of the passerby cared to stop and help the distraught man who was shouting for help on a busy Jaipur road. The victim's family, including his wife and months old daughter laid dead on the road and surprisingly none of the vehicles halted to help them.
The family of four was on a two-wheeler which collided with a speeding truck in the Ghaat Ki Guni tunnel. The road is meant to be off-limits for two wheelers.
The whole incident was captured by security camera as the worried man desperately asked for help. The helpless man finally could do nothing but sit on the road lamenting with his son.
Reportedly, Kanhaiya Lal Raiger of Thikariyawas, was going to his in-laws with his wife Guddi, eight months old daughter Arushi and son Tanish. Their bike ran into a truck and Guddi and Arushi died on spot. Post this, the truck sped and the driver has been absconding since. However a FIR has been registered against the accused.
The National Commission for Women in its statement claims that the woman could have been saved if people watching the incident had taken a timely action.
Mamta Sharma, Chairperson, National Commission for Women said, "People in the CCTV control room didn't inform the police. There was a delay of one and a half hours. If she had been given medical attention on time she would have been saved".
