Katrina Kaif, an inspiration to newbie Wardah Khan

Mumbai: Katrina Kaif is the whole source of inspiration for Bollywood’s new import Wardah Khan, who has been struggling long to bag a worthy role in the industry. It was Kat who inspired the leggy lass to turn her face from modelling to Hindi cinema.

Katrina also hails from UK and is a stimulating factor for the upcoming actress. She praised the A-lister actress and said, "Katrina is an inspiration to so many girls like us. She works hard. I salute her."

British model, who is of Saudi Arabian origin lately got her first opportunity to feature in a Bollywood project Marksheet. The flick also features newbie Imran Zahid and Zoa Morani . The film is based on the subject of bad business practices prevailing in educational sector. The leggy lass feels that Hindi films would be a lot more challenging than modeling. She said, "When I was modelling, it was all about beauty. But Bollywood is so fascinating because you need to think as well. It's not about beauty but you need brains too."

Wardah always wanted to enter the industry with a positive image. She did not want to end up being as a mere item girl, so she went on hunting for a role that portrays her well. Khan candidly admitted that getting an acting job was not that easy, but now that she has got one, she is full of spirit. She said, "It was a struggle to be in Mumbai and hunt for roles. But I am happy that it's paid off."

Born to a Kashmiri mother and a Saudi dad, Khan comes from a conservative background but she is headstrong enough to let go of her conventional backdrop and give it a go in Bollywood movies. Keeping her career in the forefront, the model said, "I go to Saudi every three years. It's my home country. But this offer was too good to be true and I have my dad's full support."
