Lakme Fashion Week 2012: Anushka Khanna to debut with 'Floral Fragments'

Mumbai: Designer Anushka Khanna is all set to debut at the forthcoming Lakme Fashion Week winter-festive 2012, with a collection titled Floral Fragments.

"The theme of the show will be of floral fragments, which basically means a part broken off or detached. Therefore, it will be a collection made of elements of various flowers put together to form new patterns in design," Khanna said in a statement.

Her designs will be an amalgamation of fluid silhouettes, print on print, surface texture, sheer elements, layering and bright colours of elements.

"The highpoint of the garments is that they can be used as separates. There is wide scope of mix-and-match. I have used lot of bright colours in fabrics that varies from dupion and habutai silks, silk georgette and silk crepe," she added.

The five-day fashion extravaganza starts here on August 3.
