Two killed in blast outside US embassy in Turkey

Ankara: At least two people were killed when a powerful bomb exploded Friday outside the US embassy in the Turkish capital Ankara, Turkish broadcaster NTV reported.

Media reports said it was a suicide bombing.

NTV said the explosion caused no damage inside the embassy and that the dead were security guards. BBC, however, put the death toll at one.

Dozens of ambulances and fire engines rushed to the scene after the explosion. No group claimed responsibility for the attack.
