Beijing: Relatives and friends of the passengers, who boarded the Malaysian Airlines MH 370, were left howling just couple of hours post the flight took off from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing as it vanished and was not traceable to the air traffic controllers. A total of 227 passengers and 12 crew members were on board. It is reported that Vietnamese military radar confirmed crash of plane into the ocean. The flight was carrying passengers from 12 different countries, including 160 Chinese nationals, 12 Indian, 7 Australian and four American.
Flight MH 370, operating a Boeing B777-200 aircraft departed from Kuala Lumpur at 12.21am (1621 GMT on Friday) and had been expected to land in the Chinese capital at 6.30am (2230 GMT) on the same day.
The sight at the Kuala Lumpur airport was heart dampening as people are still waiting to hear from authorities about what has happened to their family members.
South-east Asian states have joined forces to search waters between Malaysia and Vietnam.
Malaysia’s transport minister Hishammuddin Hussein said, “We are doing everything in our power to locate the plane."
He said that we are trying our best to keep things transparent with public but we are also ensuring to disclose the authentic stuff.
He said, "Our hope is that the people understand we are being as transparent as we can, we are giving information as quickly as we can, but we want to make sure information has been verified."
Meanwhile, MH 370’s last location was recovered off the country’s Ca Mau peninsula although the exact position was not clear, local media reports said.
