Marina Shifrin uploads dance video to resign, goes viral on YouTube

Taiwan: After working for Taiwan’s animation company Next Media Animation for a long time as a committed worker, one of their employees Marina Shifrin decided a unique way to resign from her job. She was working on the videos for the company and when it came to leave the company, she found it the best way to make a viral video inside the office premises and publish it on YouTube.

During her working hours in at 4:30 am, she set up the cameras in the office and begun a one woman party on singer Kanye West’s hit song ‘Gone’.

After creating the video, she also edited it and put on some quotes related to her mind. “My boss only cares about quantity and how many views each video gets,” it was printed in the scrolling text during the video. With her comments, she has exposed the major vow of the web industry, which is to generate best content and generate as much page views as possible.

The video was published on YouTube on September 28 and in just three days, it has surpassed five million views so far. The video was also adopted by some major websites of the web world.

However, it can be termed as a new way of resigning from a job where page views is the criteria of employees’ abilities and working spirit.
