The blame game between the company and others have started where the trade union came up saying that Maruti was upto "anti union" activities, on the other hand the Haryana Police is in search of the 14 union leaders who are being considered as the minds behind this ongoing conspiracy. "We cannot start production due to a danger to life and safety," Chairman RC Bhargava told.
The factory which has an annual capacity of 550,000 cars will be closed for at least two more weeks as per reports, "In my wildest dreams, I never thought that a day would come like this, when our own workers would indulge in this kind of rioting and mob violence... leading to the burning to death of one senior officer," told Bhargava who has been with the company since 1981.
The thing that took everyone by surprise was that at least 24 senior officials are still in hospital out of the 96 initially admitted, however, there was not a single worker that was injured. Now with the plant being shut for indefinite time it seems Maruti will have to think of a solution soon.
