Mini Cooper to sell 300 units in 2012: Chief, BMW India

New Delhi: BMW is attracting buyers to sell 300 units of its iconic brand Mini Cooper in India during 2012. Moreover, it shared its ambitious plans to enhance its current 33 outlet numbers to 50 by 2014.

Currently, it tops among luxury car makers segment in terms of sale. It is planning to set up more dealerships and is going to launch some new models of the Mini Cooper in India. It is expecting high growth in coming years.

While speaking to the pressmen on its KUN Exclusive in Hyderabad recently,Phillipp Von Sahr, President, BMW India said,"This year (2012) we make the brand known. Till November, we sold 280 Mini cars and we expect to sell 300 cars for the whole year (January-December)."

Sharing their further plans, he said that many additional models and dealership for the Mini would be launched in 2013 making it more popular.

Currently, out of its six Mini global models three are available in India which includes Convertible, Countryman and Cooper S. It has four showrooms in Mumbai, Hyderabad and Delhi.
