Mobile cover to ward off carcinogenic radiations

Melbourne: As WHO declares cellphone radiations to be "potentially carcinogenic for humans", 'Pong Technologies' have now come up with a new smartphone case which claims 95 percent protection from radiation. The holder is made up of the same material as NASA spacecraft and promises to cut down the cancer risk.

It is said that the microwave energy emitted by mobiles while making calls is principally absorbed by head and other body parts. However, the extent of harm caused due to these radiations is yet to be determined. The manufacturers claim to resolve the problem with this accessory. The case is available for a variety of smartphones.

Ryan McCaughey company's chief technology officer said, "The scale we base our research is the industry standard of SAR. What we do is compare the effect of a cellphone on SAR with and without the Pong case."

The company also claims that their invention is not just making useless promises. The holder has been tested and re-tested to check its effectiveness.
