Ishaqzaade

Much was expected out of Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra but nothing actually came out in the Yash raj film Ishaqzaade which released in theaters today.

The best part about a film is the story. It is in department that the film loses its sheen. The film appears to be quite a frustration to watch. The trailers of the film promised a lot but the outcome was nothing more than bad storyline, vague direction and absurd screenplay.

Both Arjun and Parineeti give a decent show but it could have been much better had the storyline and direction been a little better.

The film is set in a land where guns are like clothes and local politicians with their henchmen fight it out between themselves for supremacy. It is a love story set in this backdrop where both Arjun and Parineeti get to show some talent.

The talent is there but if one compares, Parineeti is better than Arjun in many departments. There are twists in the movie which may surprise the audience.

The problem lies in the fact that both are stark newcomers who needed guidance. Though Parineeti is one film old, being acting heavyweight Priyanka Chopra's cousin is a comparison she has to face in the future.

Overall, it is just another movie this Friday. A word about the music: The compositions come alive with the two stars on screen.
