MS Dhoni takes his Hellcat for a spin

Ranchi: Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s passion for two wheel monsters is known to everyone. He had been collecting bikes ever since he marked his presence as an established cricketer on the Indian side. His latest acquisition not only took the toll to 16 but also made him an exquisite owner to a model which has seen very few buyers – Hellcat X132. Lately, he took it off for a spin and pasted a picture on his twitter account which led to a debate and discussion over bikes. Dhoni participated in those discussions and conversed long with his fans.

Dhoni on his micro blogging account posted a picture of his, riding his new Hellcat with a tag, “Sorry, the pic is not very clear,” and called it his “unusual bike” in another picture. “Just came back after my 1st ride on hellcat, will share a few things after a few more rides.nice 1st ride,a bit different to my other bikes,” he posted adding his experience of driving the bike.

This particular model proved a striker to the Indian skipper and he ordered one during IPL in April 2012, of which the delivery was recently given. The bike is naked in styling and is every inch a masterpiece. There are only 164 others on the planet to own the bike and many still await their wheeled thrillers.

The bike has alloys and metals planted all over that only not only makes the bike look stunning but also provides improvised strength and capability like no other bike. A 2.2 Liter V-Twin, four stroke, air cooled engine is what provides it with 132 Bhp of peak power and a prodigious 203 Nm of torque. The engine is callipered with five speed manual shaft driven transmission.

It has been crafted with aircraft grade unitized engine case made of billet aluminum to the TIG welded chassis and carbon fiber wheels. And all this daintiness gives it a price tag of over $50,000 (which in Indian currency will turn out to be close to INR 28 lakh), then including duties on the CBU (Completely Built Unit) will take its cost to Rs 60 lakh.
