The average performance by the team has had a direct impact on the fans' hearts as their anger is coming out in the form of heartbreaks and raunchiness and also protests in some parts of India.
The fans, who were gaga over the 2011 World Cup victory, and treated the team members like Gods, are now devastated and anger filled against the team.
This has also brought India's captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni's home in under intense sadness.
As per Dhoni's some of the neighbours Dhoni’s home is the pride of Ranchi. His fans come here every now and then to get clicked and they feel proud of it. Despite this, Dhoni's father Paan Singh and mother Devki Devi are not touched by the glamour and the media.
This may have probably happened after the team was knocked out early in the 2007 World Cup. Since then, there’s a kind of silence that keeps gripping the lavish house of the Indian Cricketer.
In 2007 World team India was beaten by Bangladesh by 5 wickets making the biggest upset in the tournament. And after being beaten by Bangladesh, the team was also beaten by Sri Lanka due to which the fans were deeply disheartened.
In the 2010 World Cup too, the fans burnt the effigies of Dhoni and his team on losing to West Indies and England.
He same sort of scenario has been seen this year as well when the team has lost in the World Cup's Super 8 stages.
Dhoni and the team were immensely emotional. Though, Dhoni didn’t cry but the team members did.
