Noida: Firing at GIP mall, one injured

Noida: Two men armed with guns opened fired at the entrance (gate no. 4) of an urban mall, The Great India Palace, which daily observes a heavy footfall. The episode ended with their arrest and a guard getting injured.

Police arrested the man who opened fired, with the help of crowd present at the time of incident. What forced the gunmen to do in public place, has not been known yet. The man was apprehended by the auto rikshaw drivers, who nabbed him immediately, handing him over to the police.

The guard is said to have received injuries in his hand. He was immediately treated at a nearby infirmary and is reported out of danger.

The question now arises, how safe are the public places in India? As some unhesitant miscreants, make it harder for public, to feel secure.
