Pakistan celebrates Eid on three different days

Islamabad: Pakistan will celebrate Eid on three different days following a controversy over moon sighting.

The North Waziristan and Bajaur agencies marked the occasion on Saturday, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Sunday while the three other provinces Baluchistan, Punjab and Sindh would celebrate Eid on Monday.

Reportedly, the celebration on three days has been caused by a row over the Shawwal moon. Shawwal is the tenth month of the lunar Islamic calendar.
