Sehgal, who carried out scams in nearly every department during the BSP reigned government, seems to be garnishing relationships with people in power. He is the one who ran government machinery like a private company, took all major decisions in how much budget will be allocated to whom and he was the one to grant permission on who will meet Mayawati and who will not.
It can be said that while CBI and other investigative team carried its probe into various scams, he thought of giving an opportunity to clear differences and polish the rapport shared between them, fearing that these investigation teams would have come close to nab him as one of the key culprit. Navneet Sehgal’s activities were so that he was called the parallel government.
In the last 5 years, Sehgal has been Managing Director of Power Corporation and Power Corporation, Chief of SUDA & DUDA and also Secretary to then CM Mayawati, various scams were carried out using these power posts. Apart from this, he worked on giving the contract of Kanshiram project to Andhra Pradesh’s minister, Jaganmohan, awarding subsidy and the contract of garbage picking to A to Z company for Solid Waste Management are other such fiddled activities concluded by him. Doubt arises that, is this not the way to come out of the web-scam as CBI might be looking forward to nab him very soon.
It was predicted that Navneet Sehgal might face action from the SP government, if it comes into command, and this is what happened, Akhilesh immediately transferred Navneet Sehgal, soon after he caught hold of the UP CM seat. Shivpal Yadav promised that their government will make a list of all those corrupt officers and transfer them to remote area where they work like any other normal official. The question arises that is this meet indicating towards any other nexus?
