Rains in store for Delhi, as city wakes up with cloudy morning

New Delhi: The national capital woke up with heavy cloud cover making it a pleasant morning. The maximum temperature was recorded at 26.1 degree Celsius with the good news being that there will be rain again this evening as per the forecast of met department.

"The skies will be cloudy. Some parts of the city will receive showers," said an official of the India Meteorological Department.

The maximum temperature is expected to touch 34 degrees Celsius. Humidity at 8.30 am was 83 percent.

The city received 10.7 mm of rain till 5.30 pm on Wednesday. The maximum temperature was 34.6 degrees while the minimum was 27.8 degrees Celsius, both a notch above average.The rain deficit so far this season is 58 percent. With the ongoing trend expectations are high that the deficit in Monsoon will be recovered as there have been frequent showers in the NCR with the past few days.
