Ajmer: The result of the Senior Secondary (Commerce) 2012 exams, conducted by the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education, Ajmer was announced on Saturday.
According to reports, the Board of Secondary Education published the result before noon on May 12.
The Board of Secondary Education also published the names of those who passed along with their ranks on the official website.
According to the provisional list, Mayank Jain of Jodhpur came on top with 95.60 percent marks. The second rank went to Parul Bansal from Bharatpur who scored 93.80 percent marks.
Three students, one each from Jaipur, Nagaur and Losal, tied at rank 9 with 91.80 percent marks.
The number of boys and girls who appeared for the examination stood at 69,496 and 23,323 respectively. Although the number of girls was just 1/3rd that of boys, their average pass percentage was more than the males.
While an average of 77.62 percent of the boys passed the Senior Secondary (Commerce) exam, a whopping 89.29 percent of the girls passed the exam.
The Board of Secondary Education Rajasthan (BSER) was set up in Jaipur on December 4, 1957. It was shifted to Ajmer in 1961.
