Mumbai: Former law minister Ram Jethmalani's daughter Rani Jethmalani in her early 50s passed away on Saturday as she was unwell since long period.

Apart from Supreme Court lawyer, Rani was also an eminent social activist.

She had been admitted to Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital since December 9 due to multi-organ complications but was discharged few days back.

As per the reports, after being discharged she went serious again and took her last breath at her South Mumbai residence.

Her funeral will take place later in the day at Chandanwadi crematorium in Mumbai.
