Mumbai: Being a car enthusiast, one would want to buy the car of dreams, if his pockets support, even if the car is a second hand. This is exactly what Sachin Tendulkar did when he was just 20 with a 4-year-old cricketing career. Master Blaster was present at the unveiling of BMW’s next generation 3-Series that comes with a tag – THE ULTIMAT3. Sachin told mediapersons here, “I have always been a BMW fan but the real association with it started when I was 14. One of the first BMWs that I drove and owned was in 1993. My pockets were not so deep back then so I had to opt for a second-hand BMW and it was a joy to drive that car.”
“I drove that car for a few years and moved on to better BMWs like the X5 and M5,” he added explaining the other passion that he has in life apart from cricket. “I drove this car this month in London. It felt incredible,” Tendulkar, one of the first few people to test drive the German luxury car. He, who now earns over USD 18 million a year, now has a fleet of cars that many rich lads even dream of.
