Mumbai: Saif Ali Khan, the Nawab of Pataudi's wedding with Bollywood starlet Kareena Kapoor has started to happen and it is not very far when they would get each other in body and soul. The beginning of the wedding celebrations that would happen on October 16, have started on Friday.

In view of their wedding, the Milad Sharif (pre marriage function) was held in complete prosperity
at Khan's Ibrahim Palace in Pataudi. There wasn’t much of the fanfare as very delicately chosen friends and relatives were called to join the celebrations. Saif's mother and former Bollywood actor Sharmila Tagore welcomed the guests and also thanked them for their presence.

Milad Sharif is a holy Muslim celebration in which guests are advised to move on the path of humanity and perform good deeds in life in the name of Allah.

The function took place between 3-4 pm on Friday afternoon. After which, the guests were served tea and snacks along with other eateries. Late Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi was also remembered on the occasion and Saif along with Kareena and other guests prayed for his soul to rest in peace.

On the other hand, the rest of the functions related with Saif Kareena's wedding would be taking place from now on as the wedding takes place on 16th October. A gala party would be thrown on the 18th in which a number of guests from Bollywood would be invited.
